The Chicago 053 features one such antique — an Elgin Watch Company pocket watch originally produced in 1921. From afar, the cream-colored dial is classic but unassuming, but upon closer inspection, stunning details begin to emerge. Black geometric numerals are given dimension with thin blocked shadows, while vertical engravings lend texture and a dignified feel to the center dial. Blued steel spade and whip hands encircle the watch's face, passing over spots of patina that hint to the 103 years the original piece has endured.
